The Best Noisy Toys for Babies with Hearing Loss (Non-Electronic Picks)
Noisy baby toys for beyond the rattle stage.
We try to provide a variety of sound during play. We prefer non-electronic toys for the richness of sound, and the natural auditory feedback.

#1
Fisher-Price® Xylophone
The Fisher-Price® xylophone is a classic, for good reason. The notes are loud, pleasant, well-tuned. Because the sound is natural, baby can feel the vibrations, and stop the sound through touch.
While the mallet string is a little short (likely for safety reasons), it's still usable and helps sharpen motor skills.

#2
Spinning Drum
Our baby loved playing with a colorful rainbow spinner. A marble inside makes a loud, hollow sound when it's spun. We love that the rhythm of the sound depends on how fast baby spins it, providing auditory feedback in response to baby's actions. And a spinner looks beautiful on your toy shelf.
When our daugther was a baby, the spinner we chose was only available as part of the Lovevery® subscription. But, we were able to find it second-hand online! And now there are many different spinners to choose from on Amazon.

#3
Grimm's Nesting Bowls
This is a toy where less is more.
These wooden cups make a loud, clear sound when stacked, and when they topple. They're beautifully and naturally dyed, and have become a versatile favorite.

#4
Fisher-Price® Hide and Peek Pop-Up
This little peek-a-boo motor skill panel is adorable. Unlike other versions of this toy on the market, this one uses all non-electronic sound. Squeaks, bells, cranks, and pops accompany the action.
Happy playing!
